Centaurea cyanus (Cornflower, School option, Bag bloom, Bluebottle, Boutonniere bloom, Hurtsickle) is a small yearly blooming place in the family Asteraceae, indigenous to European countries. It is an yearly place growing to 40-90 cm high, with grey-green extended arises. The simply actually foliage is lanceolate, 1-4 cm long. The blossoms are most generally an extreme pink color, created in flowerheads (capitula) 1.5-3 cm size, with a band of a few large, distributing ray florets encompassing a central group of dvd florets. The pink coloring is protocyanin, which in blossoms is red.
